Semi-finals: tension and heartbreaks Both semi-finals were filled with tension and drama. However, the one that stood out was the match between Barcelona and Chelsea. The first leg at Stamford Bridge ended with a 1-0 victory for Chelsea after Drogba’s brilliant goal. The second leg at Camp Nou featured one of the most impressive defensive performances in the history of the UEFA Champions League 2011/12. Despite going down to 10 men following John Terry’s red card, Chelsea drew 2-2 with Barcelona, with Ramires scoring a memorable chip and Fernando Torres adding a last-minute goal to secure a 3-2 aggregate victory.
