The Final- Argentina vs. Brazil
A final pitting two of international football’s fiercest rivals, Argentina and Brazil was the match everyone wanted to see. The stadium was packed and the atmosphere palpable with fans from both sides filling every corner.
The first goal of the game came from Argentina, courtesy of a sublime strike from Fernando Gago in the 40th minute. But Brazil came roaring back as Julio Baptista leveled in style soon afterward. The match continued to be an end-to-end encounter with each team carving out multiple opportunities, but both struggled to produce another goal in regular time and were stretched into extra time.
Brazil secured a 3-0 victory in the final with the ever-present Roberto Ayala scoring to give Brazil their ninth Copa America.

This is the playmaking, Riquelme, very much evident, may we say when he played for Argentina. His vision and passing played a vital part in instigating the move, with Messi proving to be the star man who was to guide Argentina as they reached the finals.
The Hangover: Copa America 2007
On South American football, the reflections of Copa America 2007 never faded away. The tournament not only exhibited the talent prevalent in the region, it intrigues with the rise of competition among teams.
Younger stars such as Messi announced a potential new dawn in Argentine football, as Brazil solidly reinforced its place atop the world order of soccer. The tournament also raised the profile of Venezuelan football, which led to more being invested in the sport.
